Kosova toward renewable energy: 35 new solar energy installers certified.

Awareness of the impact of climate change on the environment and economy has become a central issue. This has brought renewable energy sources to the forefront of major institutional initiatives, which are actively promoting the use of renewables—particularly the production of energy through solar power.

In Kosovo as well, organizations and institutions are launching initiatives to raise public awareness and encourage the use of clean energy sources. Among the most notable are UNDP Kosovo and the Japanese Embassy, both of which are offering their support across various aspects of clean energy promotion.

35 new solar panel installers were certified this week following a 5-week training program implemented by the Elen and Abkons consortium. This training equipped technicians with practical knowledge of installation practices, making them a valuable resource for the job market in this field, as they now have hands-on experience in solar panel installation.

According to the companies Elen and Abkons, the training will have a long-term impact—not only by enriching the market with skilled technicians but also by encouraging them to apply this knowledge in their own future projects and initiatives.
